- When looking at school websites, I went to my old middle school's page - Indian Ridge Middle School. I clicked onto an 8th grade math class website, and from there I am able to see the school address, the teachers contact, and upcoming events. Along with that, I can see the entire lesson plan and the day-to-day for her class. There is also a download section where I could download the class vocab. http://www.schoolnotes.com/xpages/view/69220 - I see myself using technology efficiently in an educational setting because I know how to use technology and I would definitely utilize it. I would use a website like Edmodo to create a classroom page and keep my students up to date on everything they need to know. It would make me more efficient as a teacher because I would be able to communicate to my students more directly. Also, it would encourage collaboration as a class because technology is very easy to use. Technology would definitely make me more efficient as a teacher. ...

ILP "Participation" - Webinar

Webinar Voice Thread Notes about Webinar  -  I would recommend GoToWebinar as a helpful tool for conducting and recording online presentations that can allow you to reach a wide audience. If the cost is too high, you should be able to find other similar services that can execute many of the same capabilities that Webinar offers. However, I think Webinar is reliable and easy to use, so if you do decide to use them, you should be able to handle many of the processes involved with online presentations much easier. -  I don't like the way the settings are organized forcing you to go into each section, rather than just have one page of settings to change. I also don't like that you can't attach slides to the follow up email which forces me to create follow up emails separately instead of through the system. Overall, I had a good experience with Webinar and it would be very useful in a classroom setting.

- My initial experiences with Diigo were good. I think it would be great education tool to utilize in the classroom as an educator. The c ustomization options and social features it offers can help students learn key web skills such as sharing online content. One thing I didn't really like is that you can only use Diigo in one tab. But, w ith Diigo, teachers and students have a space to organize, customize, and share content while learning about a variety of subjects. Due to the options and how easy it is to use, I liked Diigo the first time I used it.  - My experience with  blogging  so far has been really good. Blogger is an easy blog website to use. It  is very clear and not overwhelming with too many options. Writing a blog and publishing it on my account has been a breeze. I like the idea of blogging and being able to share my thoughts and ideas to an audience. It holds similarities to being a teacher. I like using Blogger now as a way to submit thes...

- I have been using Twitter since 2013. When I first joined I barely used it and didn't really understand how it worked. Overtime as I got older and more aware with technology and social media I started using Twitter more. When I am on Twitter I do not necessarily interact with anyone, but I follow hundreds of people - whether its celebrities, funny meme accounts, or my friends. I go on Twitter everyday and it basically keeps me up to date on news and other things, whatever is going on with celebrities, etc. Twitter can be helpful in my future career because it is a good way to keep up to date with everything thats going on. - The digital definitely affects students in school because there is a major difference between knowing how to use technology and not knowing how. Being that I have always had access to technology and have always known how to use it, I can't imagine how another student would feel if they didn't have access to technology. If they do not know how to use...

The ELA technology standards that I would feel most prepared to teach based on my existing knowledge are the "Multimedia Literature" standards. For example, "using words & illustrations in print and digital text to understand character, setting, plot" is a basic use of technology that I would be able to utilize well in a classroom setting. The visuals provided by using technology is a great way to help my students make connections with what we are learning in class. I also think I would do well with the "Multimedia Informational Text" section. Most of these educational techniques are techniques that I've experienced as a student. Therefore I currently would know how to utilize them in an educational setting. One aspect of the ELA technology standards that I am not as familiar with are the standards listed under "Producing Tech Standards", specifically "Use Digital Media". I would need to learn how to record audio media and put i...
